Individual therapy

My approach to therapy is interactive and my goal is to walk alongside you on your path. Many of my clients struggle with feeling connected to themselves or their lives, they struggle with creating space for emotions and communicating emotions or they struggle with perfectionism. I provide therapy to adults and LGBTQ+ folks seeking deeper connection to the important people or important areas of their lives. My focus is to guide you through your emotions with acceptance, patience and compassion towards oneself.

As a Trans identifying therapist, I know the importance of needing a safe space for you to be able to express yourself freely without judgement. Cultivating an environment of psychological safety and trust, allowing you to feel fully seen and affirmed is an important part of my practice. I understand the complexities of identity, trauma and systemic oppression and how they can impact our feelings, thoughts and behaviors. I work with you to determine the safest way through these feelings, while still working toward connection to yourself, your loved ones and other important areas of your life.   • I offer in person sessions in Manhattan and Astoria New York. I offer virtual sessions for anyone who wants them in New York State as well as Massachusetts.

  • Sessions are typically between 45 and 55 minutes depending on the insurance provider.

  • No! Although, I have worked extensively with LGBTQ+ folks, I have over 10+ years of experience working with Veterans, people struggling with depression, anxiety and trauma regardless of their identity.
